Loc@l Clawson is bringing its signature neighborhood bar experience to the heart of Detroit with the opening of Loc@l Detroit. Located at 44 W. Columbia Street in The District Detroit, the new location is expected to open in early 2027.  The highly anticipated addition will bring Loc@l's welcoming hospitality and community-driven atmosphere to one of Detroit's fastest-growing dining and entertainment destinations.

Loc@l is a modern neighborhood bar known for its craft cocktails, cold beers, and welcoming atmosphere that brings people together. Whether guests are stopping in to catch a game, meet friends after work, host a gathering, or simply enjoy a drink on the patio, Loc@l offers the comfortable, familiar feel of a true local hangout paired with the energy of downtown Detroit.  Learn more at LocalDet.com.

Loc@l Detroit will join a growing collection of dining and retail destinations on Columbia Street, including Sunda New Asian, recently named one of Hour Detroit's Best New Restaurants of 2026, as well as JoJo's ShakeBAR, Union Assembly, Mom's Spaghetti, Frita Batidos, Sahara Bar & Grill, and Pingree Detroit.

The addition of Loc@l reflects the continued momentum of The District Detroit and the evolution of Columbia Street as a vibrant destination for dining, shopping, entertainment, and community gathering.

Increasingly, Columbia Street is giving Detroiters and visitors more reasons to experience the area beyond game days and major events. Its expanding mix of restaurants, retail, and entertainment complements the district's year-round sports and entertainment offerings while creating new opportunities to visit throughout the week and across every season.

The corridor recently launched Acoustic Nights in The District Detroit, bringing live music to Columbia Street Thursday through Sunday evenings through October 31. Featuring local musicians in an intimate outdoor setting, the series adds another layer of energy and activation to the district. Additional seasonal experiences are also planned throughout the year, including Fall Fest, Winter Wonderland, and other themed activations.

Together, these restaurants, entertainment offerings, and community events are helping establish Columbia Street as a year-round destination where dining, nightlife, live music, and seasonal experiences come together in the heart of Detroit.  For more information and upcoming events, visit TheDistrictDetroit.com.
